Your home is your visual and tangible curriculum vitae. It is the embodiment of your interests, your achievements and your aspirations. As such, it is important that the message conveyed truly reflects your life and your lifestyle and that you surround yourself with a home that looks and feels as you believe it should. Whilst taste is personal, there are guidelines as to what constitutes great style and I truly believe that a carefully selected piece of artwork or furniture or a stunning curtain fabric, whether it is a 'top to toe' makeover or just changing a few items, can transform a room. Style is all about how items are collectively put together and it is this uniqueness that makes the clear distinction between a well designed home and a house.
In theWest Indies, a wealth of inspiration surrounds us and because there are so many varied interpretations of design, it makes it possible to combine many different elements and influences in one setting. Thus an eclectic mix of traditional and contemporary, sentimental and purely decorative, local and international, all have their place in my design schemes.
I look forward to welcoming you to the Speightstown Design Centre at Eglantine and I hope you will find a source of inspiration within as I invite you to explore my collection of ideas and resources.
